This one was somewhat nervy, Portugal went ahead early via a rather fortunate goal by Deco, then the Czechs drew level(deservedly) and managed to control the game until half-time, based on solid defensive positioning and fast runs when in possession. Portugal had the ball, had a few shoots but nothing very inspiring. We had much trouble getting set in the last third of the pitch, even tough Deco played another great game.

In the second-half the game didn't change much, Portugal with more of the ball, the Czech Republic always dangerous in counter attacks and especially with long balls, with the Portuguese defense showing some trouble dealing with them and a few marking holes appearing.

After some semi-dangerous attempts by your opponents the go ahead goal came.great pass by Deco and Ronaldo finally showing up with a great run and a shoot that Peter Cech had no chance to stop.
