Germany blitz into semi-finals!

Germany beat Portugal 3-2 in Basle to reach the semi-finals of Euro 2008. A flowing German move saw the recalled Bastian Schweinsteiger poke home for the first, before Bayern team-mate Miroslav Klose netted with a header five minutes later. Nuno Gomes gave Portugal a ray of hope, but captain Michael Ballack headed the third. Sub Helder Postiga made the final few minutes interesting, but to no avail.
